Does this sound like you?
You want to do the best for your child but babies don’t come with an instruction manual, and no one ever trained you to be a parent! Sometimes the information you find in books, magazines, websites, and even parent groups, is conflicting and overwhelming, making it difficult to know which methods are the best.
Our parenting classes will help you
The Aid to Life parenting programme offers clear, simple, and straightforward advice that’s easy to understand and, most importantly, easy to apply in real life. We bring families together through mutual support and understanding.
The programme is founded on the idea that children develop best when they are brought up in an environment that supports their natural development, with an adult who understands how to encourage them while allowing them to develop according to their own pace and rhythm.
What do Aid to Life classes involve?
Aid to Life parenting classes are designed to enable you to find answers to the many questions you may have about your children. At each session we begin with a main topic, and then branch off on to other subjects according to everyone’s current needs.
We solve all kinds of challenges together and it’s great to have a relaxed, friendly, informative evening once a month with other like-minded parents. We use the unique Aid to Life programme of DVDs, booklets and leaflets (aidtolife.org) to start the discussions, before discussing questions and sharing our experiences.
The classes follow a specific order, allowing you to build up your understanding of your children’s needs and discover ways to deal with common challenges, systematically. This way, it’s simple to implement your new skills without getting overwhelmed.
Each parenting class is run for small groups of parents and children. Sessions are around 90 minutes long and include a short DVD presentation, tips handout sheet, beautiful toys for your baby to play with, tea or coffee, and plenty of time to share your experiences and challenges.
